How we build matters as much as what we build. These are the principles that guide SpecMade — from product decisions to how we treat each other.

Truth over comfort

Our entire business is built on the inspection — an act of telling the truth about a home. We hold ourselves to the same standard internally. Feedback is direct, decisions are transparent, and we would rather face a hard truth early than a costly one later.

Homeowner-first

Every decision gets filtered through a simple question: does this make the homeowner's life better? The inspector is our customer. The homeowner is our mission. When those align, the business compounds.

Ship, then refine

We bias toward action. A real thing in front of a real user teaches more than a month of planning. We ship in small, complete pieces and iterate based on what we learn. Perfection is the enemy of progress.
